Executive Diploma in Business Operation
Overview
The Executive Diploma in Business Operations course offered by University Utara Malaysia (UUM) provides students with a greater understanding of the details of Operations Management, particularly the new business operation models. The maturing of a product may move the Operations function to focus on more standardization, make fewer product changes, find optimum capacity, stabilize the manufacturing process, lower labor skills, use longer production runs, and institute cost cutting and design compromises.
While, technological innovation in the manufacturing process may mean new human resources skills (either new personnel and/or training of existing personnel), and added capital investment for new equipment or processes. Product design, layout, maintenance procedures, purchasing, inventory, quality standards, and procedures may all need to be revised in business operations.

Have explored in depth the operations management activities in the organization |

Introduce students to use flowcharts, job analyses, job descriptions, verbal explanations, or similar methods, explain the operations activities and technology for the firm. Specifically, the various inputs, transformation processes, and several outputs will be identified. |

Note: ONE credit is equivalent to 14 contact hours. For each module there would be a 18 hours face-to-face contact and 10 hours tutorial/practical.
Total Credit offered = 24 credit (9 course X 2 credit add 6 credit Project Paper)
Total Contact hours = 24 X 14 hours
= 336 hours
Entry Requirements
Minimum SPM with two years of working experience. Students not able to meet the minimum entry requirement will be placed on the three month certificate in Business Administration course.
Duration
It is designed to enable students to complete the diploma within 3 semester academic year.
