Executive Diploma in Business Administration
Overview
The Executive Diploma in Business Administration is program designed for working professionals who wish to develop skills and knowledge to advance their careers in the technology-focused business world. It is also for those who wish to progress into undergraduate programmes in Business and Management. Students meet in a face-to-face format at a site for most of their courses; some courses may be taken on campus at UUM as a residential program.
The curriculum is built around two elements: core courses and a specialized concentration. Core courses include Business Communication, Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, Principles of Economy, Introduction to marketing, Organizational Behavior, Human resource management, Strategic management, management Information System and Supply chain management. In addition, each student takes a Practical Project paper (6 credit) as specialized concentration. The concentration requirement consists of a course in a specialized business field that often includes working closely with a corporate client to solve real business problems.
Objectives
On completion of this unit, students should be able to demonstrate the requisite skills and knowledge of a practicing manager in the workplace and the ability to apply theoretical concepts to the Business workplace environment. Participants will also be expected to demonstrate critical analysis and the capacity to contribute to the resolution of managerial problems within an organisation. They will also be expected to demonstrate the ability to review and reflect on the learning experience with reference to the managerial role and the topic area of the project undertaken. In addition, students will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of the values and attitudes required to successfully participate in the workforce.

Note: ONE credit is equivalent to 14 contact hours. For each module there would be a 18 hours face-to-face contact and 10 hours tutorial/practical.
Total Credit offered = 24 credit (9 course X 2 credit add 6 credit Project Paper)
Total Contact hours = 24 X 14 hours
= 336 hours
Entry Requirements
Minimum SPM with two years of working experience. Students not able to meet the minimum entry requirement will be placed on the three month certificate in Business Administration course.
Duration
It is designed to enable students to complete the diploma within 3 semester academic year.
