Overview
The Executive Diploma in Supply Chain Management designed for working professionals who wish to develop skills and knowledge to advance their careers in the technology-focused business world. It is also for those who wish to progress into undergraduate programmes in Business Administration. Students meet in a face-to-face format at a site for most of their courses; some courses may be taken on campus at UUM as a residential program.
Ever-increasing customer demands on product price, quality, variety, lead-time, and the need to pursue mass customization have forced companies to focus attention not only on internal operations, but also on ensuring coordinated response on the part of the entire supply chain, including suppliers and distributors.
Customer satisfaction is dependent on having the right product, at the right place at the right time, and this cannot be done without an understanding of its entirety Supply Chain Management has not only become a driving force for the betterment of the industrial economy, it also has implications for effective and efficient management of global industrial interactions.
This Executive Diploma in Supply Chain Management takes a broad view of the field, extending beyond internal operations to encompass all the steps throughout the supply chain—from the supplier, through the company, to the end consumer—and provides you with the knowledge to effectively manage the integration of these activities to maximize a company's value chain. It will be of immense benefit to executives working in the areas of Supply Chain, Materials Management, Works/Production Planning, Corporate Planning/Strategy, Purchase and Procurement.

Note: ONE credit is equivalent to 14 contact hours. For each module there would be a 18 hours face-to-face contact and 10 hours tutorial/practical.
Total Credit offered = 24 credit (9 course X 2 credit add 6 credit Project Paper)
Total Contact hours = 24 X 14 hours
= 336 hours
Entry Requirements
Minimum SPM with two years of working experience. Students not able to meet the minimum entry requirement will be placed on the three month certificate in Business Administration course.
Duration
It is designed to enable students to complete the diploma within 3 semester academic year.
